Shelley Hadden

Shelley has been a full-time college consultant for almost 5 years, and she regularly works with students around the country seeking admission to a wide variety of public and private schools.

She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University and her Master’s degree in Education (specializing in Human Resource Development) from Georgia State University.

Shelley brings a unique corporate aspect to college planning. For over 10 years, she worked as a Human Resource Consultant specializing in training, development and college recruiting for a variety of businesses. As a College Recruiting Specialist, Shelley traveled throughout the country to various colleges admissions offices, and recruited graduating seniors for their first jobs.

Her diverse range of experience in career development, training/education, assessing personality tools, and determining placement for career or college makes her well-equipped to address each student's specific educational needs.

On a personal note

I have been married to my husband, Rob, for almost 30 years. We met at Wake Forest University and have three children. He spent over 20 years as a trial lawyer and now does legal recruiting, which means we are both in the business of helping people find their fit.

Our oldest, Emma, graduated from the University of South Carolina and is now a nurse in Philadelphia. Our twins, Evey and Grant, are both students at the University of Tennessee. Grant is studying Finance at Haslam College of Business, and Evey is majoring in Child and Family Studies with hopes of becoming a Christian counselor. And of course, I can’t forget Lindy, our sweet dog who runs the house.

I genuinely love what I do! I work with students to build a college plan, stay on track, and enjoy high school along the way—while also positioning themselves to reach their college goals with confidence.
